Who is an interested person?
To appeal or join in an appeal you must be an interested person in relation to the scheme.
A scheme notification decision or a scheme eligibility decision is likely to affect more than a single appellant. The law thus allows other persons, who are also interested persons, to become involved in an appeal which has already been lodged. You can be involved in such an appeal even if you have not received a copy of the scheme manager's decision. Click here for the Guidance Note about qualifying conditions (Adobe Acrobat PDF - 50Kb, PDF Help).
The PPF Ombudsman will publicise your appeal about a scheme notification decision or a scheme eligibility decision on his website so that all other interested persons of the scheme will know of the appeal and its progress. If they wish, they can make themselves known to the PPF Ombudsman and take part in your appeal if the PPF Ombudsman is satisfied that they are an interested person.
